Insurance Information & Payment Options

Your Insurance, Our Providers

Dental insurance policies can be confusing, and dental work can be a significant financial burden. We understand that most patients want an estimate of their out-of-pocket costs. You are welcome to call our office before scheduling an appointment to request an estimated out-of-pocket quote.

Please note that dental insurance differs from health insurance. There is no fixed coverage amount; most policies cover a percentage of costs up to your annual maximum benefits. We encourage patients to view out-of-pocket expenses as a down payment for services, not a fixed “co-pay.”

Micro Endodontics is a participating provider with the following dental insurance policies:

• Delta Dental Premiere

• Dental Blue, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts

At your office visit, we will request an “initial payment” based on our estimate of what your insurance will not cover. We will submit the insurance claim on your behalf after treatment. Once your insurance processes the claim and sends payment, we will contact you regarding any account issues.

Financial Options are Available

If your insurance is with a carrier not listed above, Micro Endodontics will be an out-of-network provider. This does not mean no coverage; most carriers cover out-of-network dentists, though out-of-pocket costs may be higher. Our staff is available to address questions about your endodontic coverage. We recommend contacting your insurance carrier for detailed policy information, as they often provide more details to subscribers.

Insurance companies may take 4-6 weeks to process claims. After we receive payment, it may take 1-2 weeks to process payments and send bills or overpayment checks. Insurance companies typically send an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to subscribers before providers. Please be patient, as we may not receive the EOB until a week after you do. Feel free to call our office for a status update.

*Dental work can be a significant financial burden, especially for patients without dental insurance. Since endodontic treatment is often needed on an emergency basis, we offer flexible payment options.

Micro Endodontics participates with CareCredit, offering several no-interest payment plans for patients needing medical or dental care without immediate funds. We support CareCredit’s 6-month no-interest plan. For more information, visit the CareCredit website here.
